Brianna Hinze

Brianna received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Wilkes University in Psychology and Neuroscience.  She continued her education at Misericordia University and earned her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Brianna completed her clinical fellowship at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital.  While there, Brianna split her time among the stroke and traumatic brain injury units.  She has experience in a wide variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient pediatrics.  Brianna has provided therapeutic services within the areas of language, speech, voice, fluency, dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) and cognition.  Brianna is also certified to complete Modified Barium Swallow Studies, a key tool in the diagnosis of dysphagia related disorders.  Brianna has received further certification in Interactive Metronome therapy, targeting the recovery of brain injury and neurogenic disease patients.  She has also completed her certification in LSVT LOUD, an effective speech treatment for individuals with Parkinson Disease (PD) and other neurological conditions.  She has a competency in cognitive therapies based on memory and attention difficulties acquired in trauma.
