Richard Kokinda

PT Rich has a passion for working with musculoskeletal disorders in people of all ages, occupations, and sport interests. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Penn State University in 1982. He then acquired his Associate Degree as a Physician Assistant from the Hershey Medical Center in 1984, and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986. He became certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the Spine and Extremities in 1996, being one of the first physical therapists in the state of Pennsylvania to achieve that credentialing. He has concentrated his 36 years of clinical practice in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic disorders affecting the neck, back, and upper and lower extremities. He also has extensive experience treating work and auto injuries, and in rehabilitating post-surgical spine, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle conditions. His treatment philosophy encourages patient compliance with their home exercise program to achieve their best possible outcome from physical therapy.
