A important early life experience for Mike was witnessing the sometimes sudden health changes impacting his family. Mike learned at an early age that most struggles were overcome when determination was coupled with patience and understanding. This outlook, combined with a passion for neuroscience and a bit of humor are key ingredients in Mike’s treatment approach. Mike holds a Master’s of Science degree from Adelphi University and a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). He holds additional certifications for Vital Stim, LSVT and SPEAK OUT modalities. He specializes in adult neuro rehab with emphasis in the areas of stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s, dementia, concussion, cognitive impairment, swallowing and voice disorders. Alongside direct patient care, Mike enjoys mentoring staff and supervising graduate students. When not at work, he enjoys biking, reading and building unique projects using stone and wood.
