Shelby Brown

MS, OTR/L Shelby has a strong passion for pediatrics and takes great pride in helping her clients succeed in meaningful daily occupations, such as getting dressed for school or participating in play with peers. Shelby graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and maintains her OTR accreditation through the National Board of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). She has experience working in both outpatient pediatrics and early intervention since 2018, and sees clients age 0-21. She is certified in various feeding techniques including SOS Approach to Picky Eating and Anxious Eaters/Anxious Mealtimes. She is also a Certified Interactive Metronome Provider and enjoys working with her clients to improve executive functioning, attention and regulation skills. While Shelby is experienced with a variety of self-regulation and sensory processing treatment techniques, Shelby is always open to exploring new programs or strategies to find the best solution for her clients. One of Shelby’s favorite topics to provide education and treatment for is interoception, our 8th sensory system and internal awareness hub, as she finds this often overlooked system is highly relevant for many of her clients to explore in order for them to be able to regulate their bodies both physically and emotionally. At the forefront of Shelby’s treatment philosophy is the goal of providing individualized care to promote well-being and independence using a family-centered approach to the best of her ability.
