Elizabeth Ballard

PT, DPT, ATC Elizabeth holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Western Carolina University. She is also a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and serves as the Program Manager for foot and ankle at Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s. She enjoys mentoring and teaching specialty areas of practice such as gait evaluation, orthotic prescription, and management of foot and ankle pathologies in the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy residency program at St. Luke’s. Elizabeth’s clinical interests are in outpatient orthopedics, management of pediatric orthopedic conditions, and sports medicine. She has a niche area of practice and passion for evaluating and treating runners, specializing in running analysis, gait retraining, and management of running-related injuries. Elizabeth is originally from Mount Airy, NC, better known as “Mayberry” from TV’s Andy Griffith Show.
