Sherif graduated from Temple University with a concentration in Kinesiology, and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from DeSales University, graduating with professional excellence and research excellence awards. Sherif is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. His treatment philosophy focuses on understanding how movement impairments are affecting function while also promoting lifestyle changes in order to prevent recurrences of injury. He played soccer and basketball from a young age, but his passion for running started early in college when living in Philadelphia. Since then, he has mostly run in shorter races including 5ks, 10ks, and his first half marathon in March of 2019.
