Shawn is Berks county native and attended Wilson West Lawn, where he was a three sport athlete. He continued his athletic career at Mount Union where he was a part of two Division III National Championship football teams. Shawn decided to pursue his physical therapy degree at Lebanon Valley College where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He continued his commitment to improving his skills as a clinician by completing an Orthopedic Residency in Lancaster, PA. Following his residency he became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Shawn believes in collaborating with his patients to develop a treatment plan that not only increases their function, but also gives them the tools to manage their symptoms in the future. He has been involved in the treatment of patients of all types from patients trying to regain their functional independence to professional athletes. He has extensive experience treating operative, non-operative, and occupational/ergonomic conditions. Shawn has also set multiple National and North American records in powerlifting throughout his career. While no longer competing at the national level, he stays active with a variety of outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
