The Communications Specialist supports the Physician & Community Relations Manager and Marketing Team with the implementation of Physical Therapy @ St. Luke’s social media strategies, including engaging with our online communities, delivering customer service support, executing tactics to increase brand presence and affinity on social media, and assisting with content creation.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
  • Writing: will need to know how to write effective copy in a lot of different styles, for websites, twitter, Facebook, etc.
  • Maintain and update the information on the Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s (PT@SL) website as needed.
  • Completing Google website analytics and research to increase more traffic to the website.
  • Maintain, monitor and update the PT@SL Facebook page with posts as needed.
  • Maintain, monitor update the PT@SL Instagram and Twitter page with posts as needed
  • Setting up and supervising photo shoots at all facilities as needed.
  • Creating and updating a database for raffle vouchers; sending information out to the public as directed.
  • Creating and updating flyers, brochures, and pamphlets as needed.
  • Monitor Google and Yelp reviews weekly.
  • Collect all patient surveys from each clinic monthly and analyze the data regarding “Why Patient’s Chose PT@SL”, survey scores, and collecting the patient emails.
  • Obtain information for framing anatomy posters at clinics and dropping them off to be framed .
  • Send monthly email blasts to patients updating them on our services, etc.

Facility Director/ Physical Therapist
The Facility Director is responsible for directing the physical therapy services, as well as occupational therapy services and speech language pathology services (if applicable) in their facility by developing strategic objectives, providing services and directing staff. Facility Directors have the unique opportunity to continue practicing in their field while managing a facility. To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the minimum job qualifications for Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist, and must be able to competently function as such. Job responsibilities could include, but are not limited to the following:
 
  • Teach new techniques, share clinical knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Review coverage for staff vacation, emergency, and extra busy patient load.
  • Interact with other private practitioners to develop ideas to enhance practice efficiency. 
  • Interact with clinical staff to develop new clinical programs.
  • Review equipment needs and help develop budget for acquisition of needed equipment.
  • In conjuction with other managers, help develop budget for fiscally responsible management of the practice.
  • Show leadership in a professional association to enhance practice reputation, exhibit professional commitment..
  • Hold bi-monthly facility staff meetings; complete notes and copy to Regional Directors.
  • Complies with network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development, and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
  • Completes Performance Reviews for staff in clinic.

Physical Therapist

Program Manager - Hand Therapy
The Program Manager is responsible for directing the therapy services of their specialty by developing strategic objectives, providing services and directing staff. The program manager must also meet the minimum qualifications for a Physical/Occupational Therapist, as well as interact and actively promote the practice with physicians. The Program Manager is also responsible for reviewing monthly referrals and marketing reports, as well as orienting and teaching new staff in collaboration with other managers within Physical Therapy at St. Luke's.

Regional Front Desk Coordinator
The Regional Front Desk Coordinator performs, organizes, and prioritizes all administrative functions. In conjunction with the Regional Director, Facility Director and Front Desk Manager, the Regional Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all front desk staff and any additional administrative functions through the clerical departments in their designated region. In addition, the Lead facilitates communication between the Facility Director, Front Desk Manager, staff, patients and community. Job responsiblities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Provides supervision, mentoring, and guidance to designated staff.
  • Develops and coordinates administrative duties for staff.
  • Oversees all required front desk fucntions, provides feedback and suggestions to improve the clinics' workflow and efficiency.
  • Assists the Front Desk Manager in staffing, maintaining, and overseeing all front desk personnel.
  • Respobsible for the training of new hires, additional training requests, and performance improvement plans for the Front Desk Coordinators in region with supervision from the Front Desk Manager and Regional Director.
  • Assists the Front Desk Manager in maintaining and completing all Epic registration, account, and claim edit work queues.
  • Acts as a point person or contact for Front Desk Coordinators to contact regarding questions and problems.
  • Dispense information and answers questions regarding the facilities and its services.
  • Maintains knowledge of current insurance regulations and policies. Must understand how to read the eligibility response to verify benefits and co-pay.

Front Desk Coordinator Positions

The Front Desk Coordinator performs, organizes, and prioritizes clerical functions within the Physical Therapy Department. The position includes answering the phone, patient registration, patient scheduling, insurance verifications and authorizations, word processing, filing, and general office duties. Job responsibilites include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Answers the telephone in a timely manner, and assists or directs the caller to the appropriate person or department.
  • Recieves and updates patient information.
  • Establishes and maintains accurate patient records and record filing system.
  • Accurately completes the registration process in the current computer system.
  • Verifies patient's insurance benefits.
  • Processes pre-certifications/authorizations depending on the special requirements of the patient's insurance company.

Physician & Community Relations Liaison
The Physician & Community Relations Representative represents the management, staff, and outpatient facilities of Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s in their effort to build and enhance relationships with the area physicians both in and outside St. Luke’s Health Network. The Physician & Community Relations position links program resources to referring physicians, community members, and network employees. By enhancing communication, collecting feedback, and solving issues, the Representative will act as a strategic partner to maximize consumer satisfaction and increase the use of Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s services in the communities that we serve. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Introduce and link Physical Therapy at St. Luke's Therapists and services to referring physicians, practice staffs, hospital employees, and the community.
  • Uncover underlying reasons for referral choice and establish strong relationships with referring offices - act as their strategic partner and network resource.
  • Act as a conduit to identify and resolve customer issues and internal processes that cause barriers to using Physical Therapy at St. Luke's services.
  • Communicate with Administration, SLUHN Marketing Department, Service Lines, and Entity departments to identfy synergies and corss marketing opportunities.
  • Explore opprtunities and existing vehicles to enhance communication methods to referring physicians, practice staffs, network employees, and the community (i.e., community events, speaking events, physician lunches, social networking, newsletters, ads, brochures, etc).
  • Community events - schedule, organize, coordinate staff, provide screenings, handouts as approved by the CEO/COO.
