Certified Hand Therapist Positions
Under the direction of the Facility Directors, Hand Therapists will evaluate, treat, and splint patients to maximize patient outcomes and functional abilities. Participates in continuing education and experiential learning with the intent of becoming a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). The intent of this job description is to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities of this position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the position. Job responsibilities include, but are not limitied to the following:​
  • Completes patient evaluations, develops treatment plans, and implements treatment programs.
  • Complete timely communication and documentation of patient related information.
  • Fabricates splints including walk-ins as needed.
  • Documents patient evaluation, patient cares plans, and treatment progress on Medical Records, completes Medicare recertification’s and discharge planning. 
  • Interacts and actively promotes the practice with physicians concerning treatment protocols, splinting, patient status, etc. 
  • Supervises students and observers as assigned. 
  • Assists in developing and implementing department programs.
  •  Share clinical knowledge and new techniques to improve patient care.
  • Flexibility in work hours to accommodate the patient load fluctuations and needs of the department. 
  • Participation in community event/speaking engagement; minimum one of each per year to promote hand therapy and our network of outpatient facilities. 
  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.  
  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.  
  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).   
  • Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety. 
  • Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes, and practices. 
  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.  
  • Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated

Clinical Audiologist Positions
The Clinical Audiologist provides diagnostic, rehabilitative, and habilitative services for any individual requiring identification and/or management of auditory impairment. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluation to include pure tone air and bone conduction audiometry, speech reception threshold and speech discrimination.
  • Conduct tympanometry, acoustic reflex threshold testing, and reflex decay testing.
  • Conduct brainstem auditory evoked response (BAER) testing for both the identification of hearing loss, and to rule out retrocochlear pathology.
  • Conduct infant hearing screening utilizing the BAER screener and/or otoacoustic emissions.
  • Conduct electronystagmography.
  • Conduct industrial audiometry to include on site sound level measurement as needed.
  • Interpretation of above test results, written and/or oral communication results to patients, family or physician, and other agencies as appropriate.
  • Recommendation for further testing, medical follow-up, or rehabilitation (i.e., amplification) based upon results obtained through above procedures.
  • Counsels patient regarding rehabilitation/habilitation options.
  • Hearing aid services including comparative evaluation, probe tube assessment, hearing aid delivery and orientation; follow-up and maintenance.
  • Referrals to other services with SLH (ex: Speech Pathology) or outside agencies (ex: OVR, special education placement, etc.) as needed appropriate

Front Desk Coordinator Positions

The Front Desk Coordinator performs, organizes, and prioritizes clerical functions within the Physical Therapy Department. The position includes answering the phone, patient registration, patient scheduling, insurance verifications and authorizations, word processing, filing, and general office duties. Job responsibilites include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Answers the telephone in a timely manner, and assists or directs the caller to the appropriate person or department.
  • Recieves and updates patient information.
  • Establishes and maintains accurate patient records and record filing system.
  • Accurately completes the registration process in the current computer system.
  • Verifies patient's insurance benefits.
  • Processes pre-certifications/authorizations depending on the special requirements of the patient's insurance company.
  • Schedules appointments considering patient needs and utilizing the clinic time efficiently. 
  • Any other administrative duties as needed.

Program Manager - Pediatric Occupational Therapist

The Pediatric Occupational Therapy Program Manager is responsible for directing the pediatric therapy services by developing strategic objectives, providing services and directing staff. Job responsibilities include, but are not limitied to the following:

  • Meets the minimum job qualifications for an Occupational Therapist and can competently function as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Interact and actively promote the practice with physicians concerning problem patients, new programs, etc.
  • Review of monthly referral and marketing report; compile quarterly review.
  • Orient new therapists to procedures.
  • Teach new techniques, share clinical knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Review coverage for staff vacation, emergencies, extra busy patient load.
  • If patient census is down, offer help to Regional Directors.

  • Review equipment needs and help develop budget for acquisition of needed equipment.
  • In conjunction with other managers, help develop budget for fiscally responsible management of the practice.
