Julia has a passion for working with a variety of patients with neurological conditions and holds clinical interest in upper extremity motor recovery, cognitive therapy, spatial neglect, and visual function. She graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor degree in Health Science and received her Master of Occupational Therapy. Specifically Julia enjoys working with stroke and traumatic brain injury diagnosis. She is a Certified Rehab Stroke Specialist and incorporates evidenced based research into her daily practice. Julia began her career in inpatient rehabilitation where she was the clinical therapy lead of the cancer program team, safe patient handling, and the student program before transitioning into outpatient to serve as a neurological Occupational Therapist at Physical Therapy at St Lukes. Julia is looking forward to future opportunities to lead and implement new programs initiatives within her role. Julia strives to apply fundamental principles of neurological rehab and incorporate patient specific goals into her daily practice in order to optimize rehabilitation gains and promote functional recovery.
